Mental Health Providers Forum has held one training day in the use of the Recovery Star, which was led by Triangle Consulting. The event, which went ahead in April, was designed to give an induction to using the Recovery Star at strategic level across an organisation. Recovery Star training
Numbers
For up to 16 people - 8 workers and 8 users
Training options and charges:
- We provide the training and you provide the venue (including refreshments and powerpoint projector) and organise the participants - £1,600 plus VAT (members £1,000)
- We provide the training and the venue - you organise the participants - £2,400 plus VAT (members £1,800)
- We provide the training and the venue - Open course - charge per participant £200 Plus VAT (members £150)
Included in the training:
a. Each participant is given a User Guide
b. Each worker is also given an Organisation Guide
c. Each participant receives a certificate showing they have successfully completed the Partnership Recovery Star training course
d. Additional copies of the User Guide or Organisation guide at discount price (Cover price is £6 each)
e. For options 1 and 2 we provide a dedicated section of our website for your organisation and each user has their current and retrospective Data (identified by number not name) entered and displayed on the Star with automatic calculation of the current and previous average. This provides access to this information in any location and can be updated with further readings in the future
f. For option 3 we provide a guest user individual access and graph where appropriate (i.e. for users rather than workers)

A comment from a staff member from one of the pilot organisations was:
- There has been a lot of skepticism about outcomes and outcome measurement, but the star has been a revelation to us and we have had lots of converts during the pilot
And from some new people:
- It's one of the most human tools I have ever seen
- It's marvelous; we are champing at the bit. It straightaway ticks lots of boxes
