About Southside Partnership
Supporting people to lead independent lives
Southside Partnership is a South London based charity which has been working with people with mental health needs and people with learning disabilities since 1992. We provide community based, residential and specialist services across London and the SouthEast. Our Fanon services work specifically with people with mental health and other support needs from black minority ethnic communities.
Our mental health services aim to be person centred, recovery focused and culturally competent and include the following:
- Culturally specific services to people from BME communities
- Resettlement and outreach services to offenders and ex-offenders, including peer advocacy in prisons across London and the SouthEast
- Scotch Bonnet, a Social Enterprise providing training and employment opportunities in catering and business administration
- Floating Support and Outreach Services
- Supported Living and Registered Care
- Community Engagement and Community Development Work
- Resources Centres providing a range of social, educational and well being activities and learning opportunities

Our Values
We believe that everyone has rights and should be empowered to exercise those rights. These include the right to choose, to be treated with respect and dignity, the right to independence and privacy, equality of opportunity and inclusion for all.
We work in an open and transparent way recognising and valuing the contribution people make to the organisation.
We value and support creativity and innovation in the way support is offered and delivered to enable individuals to achieve their aspirations.
We act with integrity and seek to work in partnership with others to support individuals to achieve independence.
Innovation and Excellence
The organisation has a reputation for innovation and excellence and we are committed to developing new and improved ways of working with difficult and complex issues. We have significant experience of working with some of the most marginalised people in society including people from BME communities who have mental health needs and an offending history.
Working in Partnership
Southside is committed to working in partnership with all of our stakeholders including our service users, statutory partners and other service providers. We seek the involvement of our stakeholders in service planning and delivery and to involve our service users in the decision making and development of their services. We use the wealth of experience and information from service users to assist in the development of new services and in the continuous improvement of existing services. |
