Rochdale & District Mind is a registered charity and a Local Mind Association affiliated to National Mind. We are a user led organisation which aims to provide services which promote recovery and are in line with the current government social inclusion policy.

Our organisation has been at the forefront, locally, of innovation and development of Mental Health services for the past twenty years.

Our vision and purpose statement, which outlines our core values, remain at the heart of the organisation.

Our aims and objectives are to support people suffering mental distress by providing information, support and development opportunities. Our services include Advocacy, Psychological and Holistic therapies, NVQ and City and Guilds training, Work placements, Development work in Black and Minority Ethnic Communities and many more.

Strategic aims

  1. Promoting the views of local people with experience of mental distress.
  2. Promoting positive mental health and social inclusion and challenging discrimination
  3. Working for improvements in mental health services locally in conjunction with those who use them
  4. Developing quality services which reflect expressed need and diversity.
