Mind in Birmingham aims to provide high quality services for those experiencing mental distress. We will challenge stigmatisation, oppression and discrimination by raising awareness of positive well-being and recovery for all, resulting in a healthier society.
Mind in Birmingham is affiliated to National Mind and works with service user throughout Birmingham. Support offered varies from low level, preventative support, to intensive crisis support. The Association is committed to the concept of recovery and aims to develop recovery-based services. To achieve this aim all support is planned and delivered in partnership with service users, and in ways which maximise inclusion into society and enable people to become full citizens.
The Association has developed in response to the identified needs of the community and in partnership with commissioners of mental health services. All services and developments are based in our values.
