Delivering safe, high quality care in residential and community settings
A joint day meeting organised by the quality in healthcare and patient safety sections.
This meeting aims to explore and illustrate issues related to Quality and Patient Safety outside of hospital settings. It is significant to current policy regulations addressing reductions in hospital bed occupancy, increased levels of home care and the implications of this in relation to managing quality of care in general and patient safety in particular.
The day is streamed into four borad areas:
- Learning disability services
- Nursing and care homes
- Care at home, in the community and primary care
- Debate: Safeguarding, regulation and values
This meeting is a aimed at all those working with all patients in care in both clinical and non-clinical settings including Carers, Nurses, General Practitioners, Medical Directors and Consultants who are Clinical Directors or leads for patient safety.
