APPG on Complex Needs and Dual Diagnosis - Multiple Needs and Exclusions: Efficiency and Social Justice
The APPG (All Party Parliamentary Group) on Complex Needs and Dual Diagnosis are holding a meeting on Wednesday 18th January 2012.
The meeting, entitled ‘Multiple Needs and Exclusions: Efficiency and Social Justice’, will be looking at what the government can do to create an environment in which it becomes the norm for leaders in local areas to put coordinated services in place for individuals.
The agenda will run as follows:
- Key points and recommendations from Turning the Tide: A vision paper for multiple needs and exclusions, joint publication by Revolving Doors and Making Every Adult Matter (MEAM) – Dominic Williamson, chief executive at
- Revolving Doors Agency and Oliver Hilbery, project director at MEAM
- The government’s social justice agenda and multiple needs to be discussed by a ministerial speaker.
- The local strategic perspective on tackling multiple needs to be discussed by a local leader.
The speakers for this APPG are as follows:
- Oliver Hilbery, Project Director, Making Every Adult Matter (MEAM)
- Dominic Williamson, Chief Executive, Revolving Doors Agency
- Catherine Smart, Executive Member for Housing, Cambridge City Council
- A representative from the Department of Work and Pensions has also been invited
