MHPF is led by a board of chief executives, elected from across our membership and further afield. Our trustees are voted board representatives based on the different categories sized organisations within the Forum membership – which is determined by annual turnover.
This means that the needs of the various sized voluntary sector organisations delivering services across the country are represented at the highest level of the Forum. Through this the work that we do to shape developments across mental health remains sensitive to how our different sized member organisations operate in relation to the wider sector.
It is the role of the Board to set the strategic direction of MHPF on behalf of the wider membership, to monitor delivery of our charitable objectives and to ensure good governance. The Board is also responsible for supporting and advising the Chief Executive who has ultimate responsibility for shaping and delivering the work of the Forum in line with our vision, values and objectives.
